The "Jaipur Atrauli" Gharana
The gharana system has made a valuable contribution to evolution and development of Hindustani Classical music. The inspiration in founding the gharana mainly comes from a pioneer endowed with a highly seminal mind. One among such greatly revered gharana is "The Jaipur Atrauli Gharana" and its most illustrious legendary exponent was Khansaheb Alladiya Khan, an extremely original, creative, and innovative musician. By bringing about a perfect blending of Laya and Swara, he developed a radically different and a very well-balanced vocal style. The hallmark of his music was the initial Alapi, clinging very close to the subtlest nuances of Swara, Laya, and convoluted Taans. No wonder that barrister Jayakar exalted him to the status of "Gourishankar(Mount Everest) of Music".

Late Ustad Bhurjikhansaheb
All three sons of Alladiya-khan saheb wholly inherited from their father the distinctive characteristics of their gharana. However the responsibility of perpetuating the style fell on the third son Bhurji khansaheb. The task of inculcating in disciples the distinctive characteristics of Jaipur Gayaki was tough and daunting but Bhurji khansaheb is paid glowing tributes for his effortless successful discharge of his duty as a teacher.

Late Pt. Madhusudan S. Kanetkar
It is a matter of great pride to note that Pt. Madhusudan Kanetkar, the revered guru of Manjiri, is an acknowledged (Gandabandha) disciple of the late Ustad Bhurjikhan saheb.Pt. Kanetkar has not only been scientifically groomed in Jaipur Gharana but has also received exhaustive training in mastering aesthetic values of Jaipur style and in unveiling these values and their propensities through presentation. Pt. Kanetkar also came under the spell of Gulubhai Jasdanwala and other wizards like Master Krishnarao, Pt. Gajananbuwa Joshi, Bal Gandharva, Begum Akhtar and many others whose influence and impact are amply evident in Manjiri's Gayaki.

Late Pt. Anand Hari Asanare
Father of Manjiri, Pt. Anand Asanare, was a renowned Tabla artist who distinguished himself by securing Presidential Gold medal for his tabla playing at the age of fourteen. Born in a traditional music family, Pt. Asanare was the disciple of his father late Harinana Asanare who was fortunate to have training from Pt. Gyanprakashji Ghosh and also from Ustad Laddubhaiya Amrawatiwale. Pt. Asanare had accompanied many stalwart instrumentalists and classical vocal artists.
